About this tool
Create a complete set of website icons from one image: favicon.ico for browser tabs (16, 32 and 48 pixels in a single file), PNGs in several sizes, an apple-touch-icon for iPhone home screens, Android icons including a maskable one, and site.webmanifest — all bundled in one ZIP.
It also writes the code to paste into your site's <head>, so you just upload the files and add the code. You can adjust the background color, padding and rounded corners while checking how the icon looks at its real size.
How to use
- Drag one image onto the page or click to choose it. It does not have to be square.
- Drag and zoom to choose the part of the image that goes into the icon.
- Choose a transparent or colored background and adjust the padding and rounded corners. Make sure the icon is still recognizable in the 16-pixel preview.
- Get the files with “Download ZIP”, upload them to your site, then copy the <head> code shown on screen and paste it in.
Frequently asked questions
What is in the ZIP?
favicon.ico, favicon-16x16, 32x32, 48x48 and 96x96 PNGs, apple-touch-icon.png (180), icon-192.png, icon-512.png, icon-maskable-512.png, site.webmanifest, and head-snippet.html with the code for your <head>.
What is the maskable safe area?
Android crops icons into different shapes, such as circles or rounded squares, depending on the device. A maskable icon leaves room around the center so the important part survives any crop. Turn on the safe area display to see on screen which region is never cut off.
Should I turn on rounded corners?
Usually it is better to leave them off. iOS and Android round icon corners on the home screen by themselves, so pre-rounded corners can end up rounded twice.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. All processing happens inside the browser you are using right now. Your files are never sent anywhere, so no copy of your photos or documents is left on someone else's server.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
It is free, and no sign-up or login is needed. Just open the page and start.
