EPS to SVG Converter

Convert EPS to SVG with the vectors intact. Your files never leave your device.

About this tool

Convert EPS files to SVG while keeping them as vectors. An EPS file is a PostScript program made of drawing commands, so this tool actually runs those commands in your browser and carries the lines, shapes, gradients and text over to SVG. The result stays sharp at any zoom level.

SVG opens directly in web browsers and most design apps, which makes it handy for reusing old EPS logos and illustrations on the web or in documents. You can convert several files at once and preview the results.

How to use

  1. Drag EPS files onto the page or click to choose them. You can add several at once.
  2. Adjust the “Coordinate precision” if needed. It sets how many decimal places coordinates keep: higher values stay closer to the original but make larger files (default 3).
  3. Click “Convert all”. Each file shows how many paths, gradients, text runs and images it contains.
  4. Check the result with “Preview”, then download the SVG.

Frequently asked questions

I get a warning that there is no vector data.

This means the EPS contains only a bitmap picture instead of lines and shapes. Even if the artwork was originally vector, it was turned into a bitmap when exported to EPS, and no converter can bring the vectors back. In that case, “Extract as PNG” gives you the embedded picture as it is.

How are fonts handled?

If the EPS embeds its fonts, the letter shapes are drawn as outlines so they look the same everywhere. If fonts are not embedded, the text is kept as text and its width is fitted to the original, even when the viewer's device uses a different font.

Will every EPS convert?

The tool runs the commands inside the file regardless of which program created the EPS. If some elements cannot be handled, it tells you next to the result, and if a file stops partway, you still get everything drawn up to that point.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. All processing happens inside the browser you are using right now. Your files are never sent anywhere, so no copy of your photos or documents is left on someone else's server.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

It is free, and no sign-up or login is needed. Just open the page and start.
